Islamic Emirate Prime Minister's Office Head Meets Council of Hindus and Sikhs Leader

Mullah Abdul Wasi, head of the Prime Minister's Office of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, met Wednesday morning with Manjit Singh Lambhe, head of the Council for Hindus and Sikhs in Afghanistan, and several council members.

Mahmoud Zakeri, head of political and public affairs, also attended the meeting, according to a statement from the Arg.

Lambhe expressed satisfaction and thanked Islamic Emirate officials for listening to the community's problems and assuring their resolution. He affirmed that Hindus and Sikhs in Afghanistan remain committed to their country.

Lambhe raised demands and proposals related to usurped lands and properties, electricity access, licensing for Unani medicine, and the Dar Masal site in Kabul's Shor Bazar area, which lies under a planned road route.

Abdul Wasi assured the group that he would share their issues and requests with relevant departments and officials for resolution. On the Unani medicine licensing, he pledged to raise their proposal with the Ministry of Public Health.
