How this works: Each outlet is scored on every story it covers, whether as the primary or an additional source. Stories rated “developing” for more than 24 hours with no label change or new sources receive reduced weight (0.25 vs 0.5). The score may differ from the visual bar percentages because the bar shows raw article counts while the score applies these weights.
