Afghan Officials Propose Buying 2 Million Tons of Russian Oil Products Annually

Afghan officials have proposed purchasing 2 million tons of Russian oil products annually for an extended period, according to Rustam Khabibullin, head of Russia's Trade Center in Afghanistan.

Khabibullin stated that half of the oil products would consist of liquid gas, with the remainder being petrol and diesel. He added that the trade contract is scheduled to be signed at the Kazan Forum with major Russian oil companies that offer suitable prices and reliable quality.

The proposal follows earlier comments from Zamir Kabulov, Russia's special representative on Afghan affairs, who highlighted Afghanistan's serious interest in Russian oil products.

Khabibullin described the offer as a significant step in strengthening economic ties between Kabul and Moscow in the oil products sector.
