Molvi Qudratullah Jamal, deputy minister for tourism, finance and administration at the Ministry of Information and Culture, met with officials from the Union of Tourism Companies and listened to their problems in the tourism sector along with their suggestions. He assured them that actions would be taken to address the issues and implement the proposals.

The union officials raised concerns over visa issuance for tourists, the need for 24-hour services, improving basic facilities, and offered suggestions to strengthen the tourism sector. They expressed gratitude for the ongoing cooperation from the deputy ministry.

They noted that while some foreign media present a negative image of the country abroad, tourists who have visited Afghanistan have expressed full satisfaction with the hospitality, culture and good behavior of Afghans.

Molvi Qudratullah Jamal stated that it is encouraging that regular meetings are held with union officials to bolster the sector, as resolving issues is better achieved through joint consultation and cooperation. He advised the officials to use tourism to promote the true image of Afghan hospitality, Islamic values and the Islamic system to the world, correcting the incorrect portrayal by some media.

He emphasized the ministry's full commitment to strengthening tourism, noting improvements in tourism company licensing, facilities and necessary reforms.
