Manchester United defeated Everton 1-0 in the 27th week of the English Premier League at Goodison Park.

The match took place on Monday night, February 23. The only goal came in the 71st minute, scored by Benjamin Sesko from a pass by Bryan Mbeumo following a quick counter-attack.

In the second half, Everton sought to equalize but failed to beat goalkeeper Senne Lammens. The game ended with Manchester United's single goal standing.

The win under interim coach Michael Carrick leaves Manchester United with 48 points from 27 games, holding fourth place in the table. Chelsea and Liverpool follow with 45 points each.

Everton, now winless in their last seven home games across all competitions, remain in ninth place.

Carrick said after the match that both the victory and the clean sheet were highly important. He expressed satisfaction with Sesko, the Slovenian striker, who has scored six goals in his last six games for United and is showing upward momentum.
