Nooristan Governor Says Kamdesh and Bargimatol Districts to Connect to Parun Within Two Days
KABUL (Afghan Verified) - Nooristan Governor Qari Zainulabideen Abid announced that Kamdesh and Bargimatol districts will be connected to the provincial capital Parun via an alternative route within two days.
The governor assured the public and Islamic Emirate leadership that no parts of Kamdesh and Bargimatol have been captured by foreigners, emphasizing that no one will be allowed to do so. He dismissed circulating reports claiming otherwise as incorrect and enemy propaganda.
Abid explained that the alternative route had been closed due to heavy snow but is now being cleared by technical teams and machinery from the Ministry of National Defense. In the meantime, emergency needs for the districts are being met through aerial deliveries.
The announcement comes amid concerns over access to the remote districts in Nooristan province, which borders Pakistan and has rugged terrain prone to snow blockages during winter. The governor's statements aim to counter rumors and maintain public confidence in security and logistics efforts.
Nooristan, known for its mountainous landscape, often faces challenges with road connectivity, particularly in higher elevations where snow accumulation disrupts travel. The Ministry of National Defense's involvement underscores the priority placed on restoring links to these areas.
Abid's assurances highlight ongoing efforts to secure and sustain remote regions, with air support providing a temporary bridge until ground routes reopen.
