Islamic Emirate Delegation Led by Standards and Quality Director General Travels to Turkmenistan

KABUL (Afghan Verified) -- Afghanistan's Standards and Quality Administration announced that a delegation led by Mullah Faizullah Tamim, the agency's director general and a member of the committee to prevent poor-quality petroleum products, has departed for Turkmenistan.

The purpose of the trip is to examine the import of quality fuel, fuel sources, and refineries. During the official visit, the delegation will meet and hold discussions with relevant Turkmen officials. It will also visit fuel reserves, storage facilities, and related refineries to closely evaluate the processes of production, refining, storage, and export of petroleum products.

The Standards and Quality Administration stated in a press release that the action falls within policies aimed at preventing the entry of poor-quality petroleum products, ensuring public interest, protecting consumer rights, and strengthening market trust.

The agency emphasized that dispatching the delegation demonstrates the Islamic Emirate's serious commitment to ensuring transparency, quality, and safety in petroleum imports. It described the trip as an important step toward strengthening bilateral cooperation between Afghanistan and Turkmenistan and guaranteeing the quality of petroleum products imported into the country.
