
Islamic Emirate Ambassador Says Russia-Afghanistan Ties at Very Good Level
The Islamic Emirate's ambassador to Moscow, Gul Hassan Hassan, stated that ties between Russia and Afghanistan are at a very good level.
In remarks to Sputnik, Hassan said Russia was the first country in the world to recognize the Islamic Emirate, indicating a high level of cooperation between the two countries. He noted that direct flights between the two nations have already been established and will expand in the future. Hassan told Sputnik: "The relations between Russia and Afghanistan are clear; Russia was the first country to recognize the Islamic Emirate and the first country in the world to take this action, which shows our good relations."
Russia is the only country to have recognized the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan. Previously, Russia's president emphasized Afghanistan's position in regional equations and said cooperation between Moscow and Kabul has expanded significantly in recent years.
The Russian ambassador to Pakistan stated that Afghanistan's security situation has improved compared to the past, making the development of commercial and economic ties Moscow's priority in relations with Afghanistan.
Political analyst Gul Mohammaduddin Mohammadi said the Islamic Emirate should make good use of Russia's positive position, as there is capacity for interaction and expansion of relations in various sectors.
