Officials from the Directorate of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock in Logar province are establishing demonstration plots for corn and beans on 35 jeribs of land across six districts.
Seeds have been distributed to farmers for row planting under the supervision of the directorate.
Engineer Nasiruddin Baheej, head of agricultural affairs at the directorate, stated that row planting saves seeds and increases yields compared to traditional methods.
The demonstration plots will allow farmers to learn new agricultural methods in practice and help increase overall corn and bean production.
