The private sectors of Afghanistan and Kazakhstan signed 25 cooperation agreements during the Afghan-Kazakh Economic Forum in Kabul.
The agreements cover trade in pharmaceuticals, fresh and dried fruits and vegetables, flour, wheat, cooking oil, potatoes and banking cooperation. They were reached after a trade exhibition and business-to-business meetings.
A high-level Kazakh delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Serik Zhumangarin attended the forum and met Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan officials, including Prime Minister Mohammad Hassan Akhund, Interior Minister Sirajuddin Haqqani and Minister of Industry and Commerce Nooruddin Azizi.
The forum took place as Afghan traders pursue Central Asian routes following prolonged closures at key border crossings with Pakistan.

Reliability assessment
4 independent sources corroborate the core event of 25 agreements signed at the Kabul forum; direct attribution from Afghanistan's Ministry of Industry and Commerce; minor variations in reported details do not affect verification of the event
The source language mixes facts with framing or advocacy wording. Amu TV: "Taliban have recently focused more on increasing trade exchanges" and "Afghanistan has completely lost its sea transit routes" – these phrases frame the situation with a sense of loss and strategic shift, mixing factual reporting with mild advocacy for the economic challenges faced.; Khaama Press: "deteriorating relations", "repeated closures and disruptions", "prompting the Taliban to place greater emphasis" - these phrases frame the situation with negative emotional loading on Pakistan-Taliban ties and imply strategic desperation without neutral sourcing.
