The Delawar Zada Turkmen Valley team clinched the championship of the Kabul Futsal League for the 1404 season after consistent performances across nearly a month of competition involving 11 teams over 28 days at the Afghanistan Football Federation's futsal committee hall in Kabul.

Shaghaig team finished second, with both top teams earning qualification for the Afghanistan Futsal Zonal Championships. At the bottom, Assuran and Varzesh Afghanistan were relegated to Kabul Futsal Division One.

In the closing ceremony attended by officials, individual awards were presented: Dariush Faqirzada of Assuran was named the tournament's phenomenon; Abbas Amiri of Afsai Pishatab the best goalkeeper; Abdul Majid Akhlaqi of Adalat the top scorer; and Khudadad Ramazani of Delawar Zada Turkmen Valley the best player overall.

Separately, in T20 World Cup qualifiers Group Four, New Zealand chased down Canada's 174 for 4 in 15.1 overs to win by 8 wickets, with Glenn Phillips scoring 76. New Zealand advanced alongside South Africa, eliminating Afghanistan and the UAE, both with two points from three games. Remaining matches between UAE-South Africa and Afghanistan-Canada are ceremonial.

In Pakistan, the Afghan refugee Alin Taekwondo Team, coached by Ahmad Mostafi Alin with support from Science International School in Islamabad, secured third place overall among 180 athletes despite lacking official participation rights. The team won four gold, four silver and five bronze medals. Coach Alin stated the young athletes shone through organizer cooperation.

Sources accused Afghanistan Athletics Federation of nepotism in selecting athletes for a China event, claiming only one qualified runner was sent despite two quotas, with the second given to Sahl Amiri, secretary-general and son of head Shahpour Amiri, without trials. Migrants were reportedly discouraged from trials, despite one holding the best 3000m record.
