Atletico Madrid drew 3-3 with Club Brugge in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League round of 16 on Wednesday night, February 18, at Jan Breydel Stadium in Bruges, Belgium.

Atletico Madrid led 2-0 at halftime. Julian Alvarez scored from the penalty spot, and Ademola Lookman netted the second goal following an assist from Griezmann.

In the second half, Club Brugge quickly equalized with goals from Raphael Onyedika and Nicolo Tresoldi. In the 79th minute, Joel Ordóñez scored an own goal for Club Brugge. Christos Tzolis then scored the final equalizer for the Belgian side.

Atletico Madrid had opportunities to take the lead into the second leg in Madrid but the match ended in a high-scoring draw.
