Taliban Reports Six Killed, Seven Injured in Nangarhar Roof Collapses Amid Heavy Rains
KABUL (Afghan Verified) — The Taliban reported that six people died and seven others were injured due to house roof collapses in Nangarhar province over the past 24 hours, caused by heavy rains weakening structures.
The Taliban's media office in Nangarhar specified the incidents occurred in Pachir Agam, Khogyani and Spinghar districts. In Pachir Agam district's Musakhil area, three children were killed and three injured. In Khogyani district's Ahmadkhil area, three children died and one young girl was injured. In Spinghar district, three people were injured.
Khaama Press reported additional casualties in Maidan Wardak province's Jaghato district, where a woman and two children were killed and two others injured in a roof collapse due to heavy rain. The outlet cited Taliban spokesman Mohammad Yousuf Israr for the details.
Khaama Press further stated that heavy rains and floods across Afghanistan have resulted in at least 99 deaths and 154 injuries over the past 10 days.
