Pashtun Tahafuz Movement Protests in London Against Pakistan's Attacks on Afghanistan
Dozens of members of the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement in Britain and some Afghan residents held a demonstration in London on Wednesday to protest Pakistan's attacks on Afghanistan and the killing of Afghan civilians.
Protesters described the attacks as "barbaric" and emphasized that Pakistan's actions violate international laws and human values. They chanted slogans against Pakistan, condemned the attacks and said Pakistan has previously violated human rights. The demonstrators called on international institutions to ensure civilian security and pressure Pakistan to immediately halt attacks on Afghan civilians. Placards read: "Attacking civilians is a crime against humanity and their security must be guaranteed."
The UN mission in Afghanistan confirmed in early March that Pakistan's attacks on Behsud and Khogyani districts in Nangarhar province killed at least 13 civilians and wounded seven others, including women and children.
The Taliban accused Pakistan of targeting civilians in airstrikes. Pakistan's army stated it struck positions of Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan militants and Afghan Taliban.
