KABUL (Pajhwok) -- Mullah Hamdullah Fitrat, deputy spokesman for the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, stated that a committee tasked with providing job opportunities for returning migrants has facilitated employment for around 7,000 returnees.

Fitrat wrote on his X account that more than 166,000 skilled and unskilled individuals among the returnees have registered for jobs, with their lists shared with the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs for employment purposes.

The committee, operating in various provinces in cooperation with the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriates and the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, has provided vocational and technical training to 6,141 returning migrants, according to Fitrat.

He added that lists of 2,000 migrants have been directly shared with various Islamic Emirate departments for hiring. Additionally, in industrial parks and with private sector cooperation, job opportunities have been created for 772 returnees.

Fitrat noted that quotas have been allocated for returning migrants in the process of sending Afghan workers abroad. The committee aims to provide job opportunities for all eligible returnees and address their employment challenges.
