The National Statistics and Information Authority announced that more than 4,100 electronic national identity cards, or tazkeras, have been distributed to Afghan citizens in the United Arab Emirates since the beginning of solar year 1404. The cards were issued through the Easy Services Center in Abu Dhabi, with corrective services also provided for some existing electronic and paper tazkeras.

Noman Akbar, manager of the center, stated that around 60 people visit daily from countries including Canada, the United States, European nations and Afghans residing in the UAE to obtain ID cards or resolve identity issues.

To expand identity verification and electronic card distribution, the authority has activated the Easy Services Center in Abu Dhabi and three identity verification centers in certain cities in Iran.

The authority decided to extend the center's operations in the UAE for another four months, allowing resident Afghans to receive electronic tazkeras and address issues with their paper IDs.
