RIA Novosti reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin proposed solutions to the crisis surrounding Iran during a recent phone call with U.S. President Donald Trump.

Dmitry Peskov, Kremlin spokesman, stated on Tuesday that Putin conveyed these proposals to Trump, though no specific details were provided at the time. Peskov added that Moscow's proposals to end tensions in the Middle East remain "on the table," with Russia ready to assist in the peace process, provided there is coordination among various parties.

Peskov noted that the lifting of sanctions on Russian oil was not discussed in detail during the call. He said the U.S. president's decision to ease some restrictions on several countries aimed to stabilize global markets.

The Kremlin announced the phone call late Monday, covering Iran, Ukraine and Venezuela. Yuri Ushakov, Putin's assistant, described it as the first public conversation between the two leaders in over two months, following a U.S. and Israeli attack on Iran.

On Iran, Ushakov said the focus was on accelerating a political and diplomatic resolution to the crisis. The leaders discussed contacts with Gulf states' leaders, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, and coordination with other countries to reduce tensions.
