
Islamic Emirate Refugee Minister Meets Daikundi Governor on Migrant Issues
KABUL (Afghan Verified) — Maulvi Abdul Kabir, Minister of Refugees and Repatriates for the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, met with Maulvi Turjan, Governor of Daikundi province, to discuss addressing problems faced by migrants and returnees in the province.
The governor reported that nearly 10,000 returnees have been registered in Daikundi, with some receiving assistance from the Islamic Emirate and international institutions. Maulvi Turjan presented suggestions for resolving returnees' issues and providing further support to needy migrants.
Discussions also covered progress on a special settlement for migrants in the province. Maulvi Abdul Kabir appreciated the efforts of local officials and stated that the suggestions would be examined for implementation.
The meeting underscores ongoing efforts by the Islamic Emirate to manage the challenges of returnees and migrants, particularly in provinces like Daikundi where registration and aid programs are active.
