Islamic Emirate Ministry of Justice Publishes Seven Laws and Three Procedures in Solar Year 1404
The Ministry of Justice of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has published seven laws and three procedures in the official gazette during solar year 1404, following endorsement by the leader of the Islamic Emirate.
Barkatullah Rasouli, spokesperson for the ministry, said the publications include a number of decrees from the leader on various topics, also printed in official gazettes after endorsement. He noted that seven such decrees were published during the period.
The laws endorsed by the leader include:
1. Law on Financial Auditing
2. Law on Hajj Teachers
3. Law Regulating Poetry Recitation Sessions
4. Law on Contracts of Ministries and Emirate Administrations
5. Law on Prevention of Smuggling of Foodstuffs, Medicines, and Health Products
6. Law on Tariff Board
7. Law on Preachers
Legal experts expressed support for the new regulations. Rohullah Hotak told TOLOnews that the laws hold high importance for creating administrative order, reducing corruption, protecting lives and property, strengthening the economy, and enforcing cultural control based on religious values. He emphasized the need for serious training of officials, strong oversight, and coordination among ministries for proper implementation.
Rohullah Shirzad, another legal expert, said procedures are drafted to create order in society and can have positive impacts by preventing violations.
The ministry previously reported that over the past more than three years, ten new laws have been published in the official gazette. These developments occur without an official constitution since the Islamic Emirate's return to power, with officials stating that decisions are made based on the country's Islamic laws.
