Imran Khan Accuses Pakistani Judges of Selling Honesty for Privileges
Imran Khan, the imprisoned leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and former prime minister, accused Pakistani judges of selling their honesty and souls in exchange for personal privileges.
Khan made the remarks during a phone call with his sons from prison. He said he had repeatedly approached the judiciary to prevent improper treatment against him, but claimed the judges failed to act.
According to Khan, his wife Bushra was subjected to inhumane treatment on the orders of Pakistani judges as a means to pressure him. He stated that harming women and children is un-Islamic and urged the judges to feel ashamed of themselves.
Khan emphasized that judges bear the responsibility of upholding justice in society. He called on them to reflect on their actions and fulfill their duty impartially.
The statements come amid Khan's ongoing imprisonment in Pakistan, where he has faced various legal challenges since his ouster from power.
