Islamic Emirate Launches Parmukhtag Website as Information Bank for Its Activities
The Islamic Emirate unveiled the Parmukhtag website as an information bank aimed at providing details on its activities and achievements while preventing propaganda against it. The launch occurred at a ceremony where an informational book on Afghanistan's media and the 100th issue of the Arg Letter were also presented.
Spokesperson Zabiullah Mujahid said the website was established by the Government Information and Media Center. He explained that it would offer precise information to the media, comprehensively outline the Islamic Emirate's accomplishments, and serve as a tool to counter propaganda.
Dr. Abdul Wasee, Head of the Prime Minister's Office, stated that the Islamic Emirate is committed to providing information without censorship. Wasee stressed the importance of public awareness and the government's support for media outlets to ensure the public receives timely updates.
The event brought together senior Islamic Emirate officials including Sheikh Noor ul Haq Anwar, Mullah Atiqullah Azizi, Dr. Abdul Latif Nazari, and Hajiullah Majidi, head of the Free Journalists Union, along with media leaders. Attendees praised the new resources for promoting transparency, countering enemy propaganda, and improving cooperation between the government and the media.
Meanwhile, journalists in Afghanistan report facing restrictions on information access and a lack of media freedom. A number of journalists have fled the country or been detained, with particular concern expressed regarding the situation of Shakib Nazari, Hamid Farhadi, and Bashir Hatif.
