Iran's President Urges Afghan Doctors to Condemn Alleged US, Israeli Attacks on Health Facilities
KABUL — Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian has condemned attacks by the United States and Israel on Iranian hospitals, pharmaceutical companies and health institutions, describing them as "savage" acts and "crimes against humanity."
Pezeshkian called on the World Health Organization, the Red Cross, Doctors Without Borders and medical professionals worldwide to denounce the strikes on health facilities.
The Iranian Embassy in Kabul relayed the president's message on his behalf, specifically appealing to Afghan doctors and health workers for their support in condemning the attacks.
Pezeshkian highlighted the targeting of pharmaceutical companies and research institutes, framing the incidents as violations warranting international outrage from the global medical community.
The appeal comes amid heightened tensions, with the Iranian leader seeking solidarity from health organizations and practitioners across borders, including in Afghanistan.
