BEERSHEBA, Israel (Afghan Verified) — An Iranian missile targeted a chemical factory in the Neot Hovav industrial area near Beersheba in southern Israel, according to Israeli media reports.
The strike caused a chemical leak later identified as pesticide, leading Israeli officials to warn surrounding residents to remain indoors. Workers from the factory and nearby units were evacuated as a precaution, and no casualties have been reported.
Itzik Levy, deputy head of the Southern Region Fire Department, stated that the released substance was a pesticide. Firefighting and rescue teams are on site, working to control the leak and seal damaged storage units.
Israeli officials have advised the public to avoid approaching the area, close windows and doors, and stay at home to minimize exposure risks.
