Iran Warns of Destructive Impact on Diplomacy Ahead of Netanyahu's US Visit

Iran has warned of a "destructive" impact on diplomacy ahead of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's trip to the United States.
Al Jazeera reported on Tuesday, February 10, that Iran urged the US to act independently in negotiations with Tehran.
Baqaei stated: "Our negotiating partner is the US. It is up to the US to decide to act independently and not fall under destructive pressures and influences that harm the region."
He emphasized that Israel has repeatedly shown itself as a "saboteur" opposed to any diplomatic process in the region that leads to peace.
This warning comes as Netanyahu's visit to Washington is likely to focus on discussions regarding nuclear negotiations and security issues related to Iran.
Netanyahu's office previously stated that the prime minister believes any negotiation with Tehran should include "limitation on Iran's ballistic missile program and stopping Tehran's support for its regional allies."
