Iran Executes Three Afghan Citizens, Rights Group Says

The Hengaw Human Rights Organization reported that Iranian authorities executed 14 prisoners across various prisons in recent days, including three Afghan citizens.
According to Hengaw's report published on Tuesday, Karim Nazari, an Afghan from Herat province, was executed at dawn on Thursday in Taybad prison on charges of drug-related crimes. He had been detained for about two years.
Additionally, Saifuddin Mehrban, 23, and Namq Kasravi, 25, both Afghans from Baghlan province, were executed at dawn on Wednesday in Shiraz's Adelabad prison. Hengaw stated they had been held for nearly two years on charges of premeditated murder.
The organization noted that 11 other prisoners were also executed in different Iranian prisons during this period.
Hengaw's statistics indicate that 85 Afghan citizens were executed in Iran in 2025 on various charges.
