The latest Russian attacks on Ukraine ahead of the fourth anniversary of Europe's largest war since World War II have resulted in at least four deaths.

Al Jazeera reported on Monday that in southern Ukraine, two people were killed when Russian drones struck industrial facilities, energy infrastructure and civilian sites in Odesa. One drone struck a residential unit in a multi-story building but failed to explode.

In southeastern Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia region, more than 750 strikes hit 44 residential areas, killing two people. In northern Ukraine, a missile struck near Kharkiv, with rescue teams assessing damage but no precise casualty figures released yet.

Ukraine stated it downed 105 Russian drones overnight, while Russia claimed to have destroyed 152 Ukrainian drones.
