Molvi Najibullah Hayat Haqqani, Minister of Urban Development and Housing, initiated the distribution of 1,800 residential land plots in the Second Migrants' Town in central Ghazni for returning migrants.

Speaking at the launch ceremony, the minister said the town's detailed plan has been completed and practical work, including land distribution, has begun. He added that the first stage covers 6,000 jeribs of land, with each family receiving 5 biswas. Work on a second stage is underway and awaits approval from Islamic Emirate leadership.

Molvi Noor Bilal, head of Urban Development and Housing in Ghazni, said the province has seen a high number of returning families, prompting plans for two additional towns in Nawur and Muqur districts. He noted that much of the technical and administrative work for these towns has been completed.

The minister called on neighboring countries to return Afghan migrants with respect and humane treatment, urging them to refrain from using force.

Engineer Farid Masoud, a professional member of the Urban Development and Housing Directorate in Ghazni, said the town will include roads, green areas, schools, hospitals, mosques and other essential facilities to provide a suitable living environment.

Some families receiving plots said they had returned to Ghazni from neighboring countries and now face severe economic and housing problems. Approximately 7,000 families have returned to the province since forced repatriations began.
