China Donates $100,000 to Aid Flood Victims in Afghanistan

KABUL — The Chinese Embassy in Kabul announced a $100,000 donation from the Chinese Red Crescent Society to the Afghan Red Crescent Society to support flood victims in Afghanistan.

Chinese Ambassador Jaw Xing disclosed the aid on his X page on 26 Hamal, noting that it was handed over to the Afghan Red Crescent Society under Taliban control.

The Taliban reported that floods since 7 Hamal have resulted in more than 180 deaths and the destruction of hundreds of homes.

The International Organization for Migration has provided assistance to 2,300 families affected by the recent floods.
