Calligraphy Exhibition 'Manifestation of the Verses of the Holy Quran' Held in Herat

The Ministry of Information and Culture stated that a three-day calligraphy exhibition titled 'Manifestation of the Verses of the Holy Quran' was held in Herat province to support artists and showcase their works.

The event was organized by the Herat Information and Culture Directorate in collaboration with the province's Calligraphers Association. Organizers said verses from the Holy Quran, inscribed in various Islamic scripts, were displayed for visitors.

A total of 108 artistic works were exhibited, featuring scripts such as Nasta'liq, Shekasteh Nasta'liq and Kufi.

The head of the Herat Calligraphers Association said the exhibition aimed to promote Islamic calligraphy, support artists and create marketing opportunities for their pieces.

Officials from the Information and Culture Directorate noted that the directorate seeks to back artists and promote their works through such programs and exhibitions.

Visitors described the event as important for fostering youth interest in art and authentic Islamic traditions, viewing it as a platform for selling artists' works.
