
Badghis Province Distributes 66,842 Citizenship Cards Over Past Year
The Central Statistics and Information Department in Badghis province distributed 66,842 citizenship cards over the past year, its head Mulla Ziauddin Bakhtiar said.
The cards included 35,330 electronic versions and 31,512 paper cards. The department also issued 146 birth cards and 642 death certificates during the period. It provided corrective services for 2,581 paper cards.
Bakhtiar said Badghis province operates two electronic card distribution centers. These centers offer services such as issuing new cards, duplicates, renewals, corrections and registrations.
In addition to vital records services, the department conducted various statistical activities. It collected social and economic data using 284 standard forms. The department also gathered price information for 290 items, carried out address mapping and performed food security surveys.
