Afghan Citizens in Germany Commemorate 30th Anniversary of Abdul Ali Mazari's Martyrdom, Condemn Herat Attack

FRANKFURT, Germany -- Afghan citizens in Germany held a commemoration event in Frankfurt on Tuesday for the 30th anniversary of Abdul Ali Mazari's martyrdom.

The gathering was organized by the Global Hazara Unity Center under the theme "Women's Rights, Local Security, and Global Peace." Participants strongly condemned an armed attack that killed Hazara and Shia civilians in Herat province, calling it a clear violation of human rights and part of a systematic trend of elimination targeting the community.

Speakers at the event included Ghulam Hider Allama, Mustafa Naseri, and Bianca Winter. They addressed key issues such as social justice, women's rights, political participation, and the challenges faced by Hazara migrants in exile.

The commemoration also featured exhibitions and the distribution of over 700 digital resources, including books on Hazara history and identity. Organizers highlighted the importance of preserving cultural heritage and raising awareness about ongoing human rights concerns.

The event drew attention to the legacy of Abdul Ali Mazari, a prominent Hazara leader whose martyrdom in 1995 symbolizes resistance and advocacy for minority rights in Afghanistan. Participants emphasized the need for global solidarity in addressing security issues affecting local communities.
