Ministry Resolves Half-Century Land Dispute in Badghis
The Ministry of Borders and Tribal Affairs has resolved a land ownership dispute among families of the same tribe that had continued for nearly fifty years in the Abkamari district of Badghis province. The dispute had caused serious problems and prolonged tensions between the parties for a long period of time.
The process of resolution involved the ministry obtaining written authorizations from both sides of the dispute. After receiving these authorizations the ministry issued a decision that awarded the land to its rightful owner.
The ministry also resolved two additional disputes between families in other provinces. In the Chahar Bolak district of Balkh province a dispute over internal matters between two families was settled and the parties reconciled.
In the Hesa-i-Awal Kohistan district of Kapisa province the ministry resolved another dispute between two families. The parties in this case also reconciled following the intervention.
