The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced that the Afghanistan national cricket team will tour India in June 2026 for a one-off Test match and a three-match One Day International (ODI) series.

The Test match is scheduled from June 6 to 10 at the New Chandigarh stadium in Mohali, Punjab state. The ODI series will follow, with the first match on June 14 in Dharamsala, the second on June 17 in Lucknow, and the third on June 20 in Chennai. All ODIs are set to begin at 1:30 p.m. local time.

This tour represents the second Test match between Afghanistan and India, and the first full ODI series between the two teams. It continues a pattern of bilateral engagements, with India frequently hosting Afghanistan's international matches due to hosting limitations inside Afghanistan.

The series offers Afghanistan a key opportunity to gain experience against one of the world's top cricket teams ahead of upcoming major international competitions. Further details, including team squads, will be released closer to the tour.

Talks are ongoing for three Twenty20 (T20) matches between the sides, which could be hosted by Afghanistan later in 2026.
