Afghanistan Obtains First Membership in World Street Sports Organization Kardo
Afghanistan has obtained its first membership in the World Street Sports Organization Kardo, allowing Afghan athletes to participate in the group's international competitions and programs.
The membership was secured through the efforts of Salman Sultani, president and founder of street sports in Afghanistan. Sultani has been appointed as the organization's ambassador in the country.
Street sports officials in Afghanistan described the membership as an important step toward introducing the country's street sports on the international level and providing new opportunities for young athletes.
The World Kardo Organization is one of the largest international bodies focused on street culture and sports. It supports, develops and identifies young talents in various street sports and arts disciplines, holding numerous competitions and programs each year with participants from more than 100 countries.
The organization's activities encompass a range of disciplines combining sports, art and urban culture.
For Afghanistan, the membership is expected to offer opportunities for athletes to compete internationally, promote the growth of street sports domestically, showcase young talents globally and strengthen ties with the international street sports community.
