Afghanistan National Football Team to Face Syria in AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers

Afghanistan's national football team is scheduled to face Syria in the AFC Asian Cup qualifiers on Tuesday at 8:45 p.m. Kabul time.

The team held its first training session yesterday afternoon in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, ahead of the match.

Ten players have withdrawn from the squad for the upcoming matches against Myanmar and Syria. The players cited family problems, security issues in the Middle East, and club injuries as reasons for their withdrawal.

The withdrawn players are Habibullah Askar, Awis Azizi, Abdanjam Haydari, Mohammad Naim Rahimi, Jabar Sharza, Faisal Ahmad Hamidi, Jamshid Achakzai, Amid Arzu, Tufiq Sekandari, and Ramin Safi.
