Afghan Defense Ministry Claims Drone Strikes on Pakistani Military Center Near Islamabad
Afghanistan's Ministry of National Defense stated that its air forces targeted a key military center named 'Hamza' in the Feyzabad area of Islamabad as part of ongoing retaliatory operations called 'Red al-Zulm.'
The ministry said the strikes, carried out precisely by unmanned aerial vehicles (drones), hit the command center and other vital facilities, resulting in heavy personnel casualties and material damage to Pakistani forces.
Pakistani officials reported sighting two drones originating from Afghanistan flying over the Feyzabad area between Islamabad and Rawalpindi. They added that the presence of the drones prompted the closure of Islamabad's airspace and international airfield.
The Afghan Defense Ministry had previously announced the same strikes on the 'Hamza' center in Feyzabad, Islamabad.
RTA, citing the ministry's statements and Pakistani officials, provided these details without independent verification.
