Fayaz Dorandish, a 21-year-old member of Afghanistan's Ashihara karate national team, has pursued the sport for 11 years. He has competed in domestic, Asian, and world-level events, accumulating dozens of medals and multiple championship titles over the past decade.

Dorandish recently completed Ramadan training sessions to prepare for upcoming competitions. His record includes two gold medals from the World Championships in Kazakhstan, which have established his international standing.

Farid Agha Dorandish, coach and head of the referees' committee for the Ashihara Karate Federation, praised the athlete's abilities and perseverance, emphasizing the need for continued support.

Several other athletes described Dorandish's achievements as a point of pride and view him as a role model for younger competitors.

Dorandish stated his primary goal is to raise Afghanistan's flag at Asian and world competitions. He called for stronger support from the sports administration and relevant institutions, noting that economic challenges remain a key obstacle for many national athletes.
