31 New Telecom Towers Activated in Logar, Achieving 90% Coverage
KABUL — The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology activated around 31 new telecom towers across central Logar province last year, achieving nearly 90 percent telecommunications coverage in the province.
Enayatullah Alokozai, spokesman for the ministry, stated this on his X account. He noted that the towers were installed in several districts of Logar, including the provincial center, in areas that previously lacked telecommunications services.
The new infrastructure has brought the total number of active telecom towers in Logar to about 107. These towers now provide internet and voice services across various districts in the province.
Alokozai's announcement highlights the ministry's efforts to expand connectivity in Logar, where coverage has reached close to 90 percent of the province following the activation of the new towers.
