Water Supply Projects Completed in Kandahar and Daikundi Provinces

Officials have announced the completion of a water supply project in the Zhirey district of Kandahar province that is intended to serve hundreds of families who have returned as migrants to the area. The project was implemented with a budget of three million nine hundred thousand afghanis. Technical details of the project include a metal reservoir that has a capacity of twenty cubic meters and twenty-eight solar panels that are part of the system to deliver clean drinking water.

The spokesman for the Rural Rehabilitation and Development Department in Kandahar, Rahmatullah Shakir, has spoken about the handover of this project to the community in the returnee migrants camp. He gave specific information about how the project was completed and what it consists of for the benefit of the families.

In another part of the country, in Daikundi province, a water supply project has also been finished. This one is located in Jowi Alawi village in the Kajran district. It was supported by UNICEF and the cost of building the water supply network was two million four hundred thousand afghanis. The project will give dozens of families access to drinking water.

The provincial officials from the Rural Rehabilitation and Development Department in Daikundi have given out the information about this project's completion.
