UN Women stated that girls around the world are daily challenging gender stereotypes across various sectors and demonstrating their capabilities.

In a post on its X account on Tuesday, February 10, the organization noted that girls in schools, sports, innovation, jobs and other areas are proving there are no limits to their participation and success by defying traditional views. UN Women added: "Let us always remember that they are capable and build a world that provides them with equal opportunities."

The organization has previously emphasized that equal access to education, support for girls' participation in technology and innovation, and combating discrimination are essential steps for empowering the next generation.

Meanwhile, the situation for girls in Afghanistan has been reported as highly concerning, with them deprived of basic rights including education, work, sports and active participation in society.
