Mohammad Jawad Mohseni, the head of Tamadon TV, has asserted that a raid on the media outlet was carried out prior to any final decision by the court regarding the ownership of its building.
Mohammad Jawad Mohseni explained that the operation was conducted by forces associated with the Ministry of Justice of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan. The raid targeted the network's central office in Kabul, resulting in the halting of broadcasts. This occurred at a time when the ownership case was still pending in a special court without a conclusive ruling.
Mohseni called the move premature. He highlighted that documents had been presented to the court earlier and that officials had given verbal indications of no major issues with the paperwork. The head of the outlet reiterated that Tamadon TV has legitimate ownership papers and does not have any political connections.
On 15 Jawza 1403, the Ministry of Justice asserted that the structures used by the television station, Khatam al-Nabiyyin University, and the seminary were erected on state-owned land. This assertion prompted the suspension order. The review was assigned to a special court following instructions from Mohammad Hassan Akhund.
The recent raid comes after a comparable event in which the Taliban suspended the network's operations in 2024 due to similar concerns about ownership and political ties. The broadcasts were eventually allowed to continue.
Established in 2007 by Mohammad Asif Mohseni, Tamadon TV produces content centered on religious and cultural topics for the Shia community in Afghanistan.

Single source but provides direct on-record attribution from named individual Mohammad Jawad Mohseni (head of Tamadon TV) with concrete, checkable details including specific dates (15 Jawza 1403, 2 Saratan), locations (Kabul), named officials (Mohammad Hassan Akhund), and judicial process steps.
The source language mixes facts with framing or advocacy wording. Amu TV: "hasty" and "outside the current judicial process" – these phrases frame the authorities' actions as improper and rushed, implying injustice without a final court decision.
