Jumah Fateh Rejects Taliban Offer to Head Kabul Intelligence Branch

This stance comes after Hibatullah Akhundzada dismissed him as deputy governor of Zabul province. The dismissal took place on Monday, and Faizullah Tamim was named as the replacement for the position.

Tensions among the Taliban in Badakhshan province have intensified over the past period. There is now a greater chance of a military confrontation within the group due to these unresolved issues.

Several rounds of talks were held between Jumah Fateh and senior Taliban officials, including Fasihuddin Fitrat. None of these discussions yielded positive outcomes or agreements.

Hibatullah Akhundzada has formed a high-ranking commission to deal with the problems in Badakhshan. The commission includes Abdul Haq Wasiq, Fasihuddin Fitrat, Shamsuddin Shariati, and Amanuddin Mansour.

The creation of this commission follows the failure of earlier mediation efforts. It aims to address the growing disputes in the northern province.
