Taliban spokesperson says fuel, food, and construction imports from Iran continue
Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesperson for the Taliban, stated that a cargo train carrying commercial goods arrived from Iran at Rozanak station in Herat province overnight. He said the train included 37 wagons, with Pajhwok specifying 37 wagons of iron sheets and nine of flour, while another train carrying food, construction materials, and fuel also reached the station.
Mujahid reported that a total of 94 wagons of commercial goods arrived at Rozanak station over the previous day. He emphasized that transfers via the Khaf-Herat railway are proceeding normally with no delays, and according to Iranian railway officials, hundreds more wagons are en route in Iranian territory and will enter Afghanistan routinely.
The spokesperson assured the public of uninterrupted imports and urged national traders not to raise prices without justification. This statement comes after Iran previously announced a ban on exports of all food and agricultural products until further notice, as noted by Afghanistan International.
Hasht-e Subh, Pajhwok, and RTA corroborated Mujahid's X post, confirming the 94 wagons total for the previous day and the call to traders. All outlets reported the normal flow of goods including fuel, food, and building materials.
