Taliban Ministry of Justice Declares 11 Jeribs of Land in Kabul as Emirate Property

KABUL (Afghan Verified) -- The Taliban Ministry of Justice announced that a special court has declared approximately 11 jeribs of land in Kabul's ninth district as Emirate property after reviewing documents and evidence.

The land, known as Omar Golestan Town in the Makroyan Third area, was referred to the Special Court for Handling Cases of Seized or Usurped Emirate Lands in the Central Zone by the Commission for Prevention of Land Usurpation and Retrieval of Seized Lands. The referral was made under Article 17 of the relevant law, according to the ministry's statement.

Hasht-e Subh reported the land size as 11 jeribs and spelled the name as 'Omar Golestan Town,' while RTA cited 10.994 jeribs and 'Omar Gulistan Town.' Both outlets described the ministry's announcement via its Facebook page or press release.

The decision is part of an ongoing nationwide campaign by the Taliban administration to examine and recover lands claimed as usurped Emirate property since retaking control of Afghanistan.
