The Confederation of Asian Football (AFC) has announced that a goal by Afghanistan's Reza Hosseinpour was voted the best of the 18th AFC Asian Futsal Cup 2026, held in Indonesia.
The voting concluded after AFC selected eight top goals from the tournament for public selection three days prior. Hosseinpour's chip shot, assisted by Omid Ghanbari and scored against Malaysia, received 48% of the votes to claim first place. It marked the fifth goal for Afghanistan in that match.
Indonesia's Asrar Megantara placed second with 42.52% of votes for his goal in the final against Iran. Vietnam's Din Kong ranked third with 6.38% for his strike against Lebanon, while Iran's Saeed Ahmad Abbasi took fourth with 2.61% against Uzbekistan.
Other nominees included Thailand's Mohammad Othman Musi against Kuwait, Japan's Shoto Yamanaka against Uzbekistan, Uzbekistan's Albek Tolkynov against Iran, and Iraq's Salem Kazim against Iran, but they did not secure sufficient votes.
The tournament, which featured 166 goals in total, was recorded as one of the highest-scoring editions in its history. It concluded with Iran's 14th championship title.
