Pakistan Resumes 'Wrath for the Truth' Operation Targeting Terrorist Hideouts in Afghanistan
KABUL — Tahir Andrabi, spokesperson for Pakistan's Foreign Ministry, announced Thursday, the 6th of Hamal, that Islamabad has resumed Operation 'Wrath for the Truth' against terrorist hideouts in Afghanistan after the end of a temporary ceasefire for Eid al-Fitr.
Andrabi described the operation as "targeted" during a press conference in Kabul.
Pakistan initiated the airstrikes on the night of the 7th of Hut 1404 and suspended them during the Eid holidays.
In pre-Eid strikes, Pakistan bombed a drug addicts' treatment center in Kabul. Taliban reports stated more than 400 people were killed and more than 200 others wounded in the attack.
Human rights experts and the majority of Afghan citizens have labeled the attacks as war crimes. They have demanded that Pakistan provide compensation and be held accountable.
