NSIA Distributes Over 10,000 Birth Certificates Across Afghanistan in Dalu 1404

The National Statistics and Information Authority (NSIA) distributed birth certificates to 10,374 people across the country in the month of Dalu 1404, according to statistics from the authority. Of these, 6,274 were for adults and 4,100 for children.

Kabul province received the highest number with 5,855 certificates, followed by Khost with 1,183, Nangarhar with 1,066, Balkh with 749, and Herat with 296.

The certificates were issued as follows: 5,583 through Asan Khidmat centers in Kabul and other provinces, and the remaining 4,791 through the Vital Events Registration Department at the center and vital statistics sections in provincial statistics and information directorates.

In the same period, NSIA distributed 2,355 death certificates nationwide, with the highest numbers in Kabul, Panjshir, Maidan Wardak, Helmand, and Khost provinces.

The Vital Events Registration and Foreign Nationals Affairs Directorate of NSIA is responsible for registering vital events including births, deaths, marriages, and divorces; monitoring entry and exit of foreign nationals through official ports and airports; and providing services related to acquiring and renouncing Afghan citizenship.
