Muttaqi: Pakistan's military regime should reconsider its calculations

Amir Khan Muttaqi, Foreign Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, stated that Pakistan's military regime seeks to impose its demands through pressure, but the people of Afghanistan will not yield.

Speaking Sunday at an iftar event for ambassadors of various countries in Kabul, Muttaqi accused the regime of "very brutally" expelling Afghan migrants, blocking trade routes, violating Afghanistan's national airspace and launching propaganda against Afghanistan in international forums.

"The people of Afghanistan have never submitted to pressure throughout history and do not shy away from any sacrifice for the freedom of their country," he said.

Pakistani officials have claimed that attacks in Pakistan are organized by militants based in Afghanistan, particularly the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). Muttaqi stressed that the TTP is not a new phenomenon and emerged due to specific factors.

"Pakistani generals, instead of trying to solve their internal problems, have endangered the security of the entire region," he said.

Muttaqi added that Pakistan's military regime is at war with that country's politicians, scholars and people, opting for confrontation and pressure over dialogue. He warned that such pressure only strengthens resistance.

The Foreign Minister also referenced the war in the Middle East, urging respect for governments' national sovereignty principles and resolution of issues through diplomacy.
