Kremlin Spokesman Peskov Says No Public Discussion Possible on Trilateral Ukraine Talks

Dmitry Peskov, spokesman for the Kremlin, stated that trilateral talks on resolving the Ukraine situation are at a stage that does not allow for public discussion.

According to a report by Russia's TASS news agency on Thursday, February 19, the talks involving Russia, the United States, and Ukraine took place in Geneva. They lasted approximately six hours on the first day and two hours on the second day.

Peskov declined to provide details when asked, saying he did not want to delve into specifics and that public discussion was not appropriate at present.

Earlier, Vladimir Medinsky, head of the Russian delegation, described the negotiations as difficult but professional. He indicated that new talks would be held in the near future to continue the dialogue.

These discussions form part of ongoing trilateral security consultations between Russia, Ukraine, and the United States. The first round occurred in January, and the second round was held on February 4 and 5.
