ToloNews|

The Ministry of Public Health of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan announced that a draft National Public Health Strategy was presented and explained to Noorjalal Jalali, in the presence of deputies and technical officials.

According to the ministry, details of the draft were discussed during the meeting, where participants offered suggestions to enrich the document. An operational and implementation plan is expected to be prepared soon.

The health minister described the preparation of the national health strategy as an important and foundational need for the health sector. He stated that it will serve as a clear guide for health officials over the next five years.

Dr. Mutaba Sufi said the strategy could foster better growth and development in the health sector. He noted that aligning with global standards would enable provision of superior services, allowing Afghans to receive treatment domestically rather than seeking care abroad.

Doctors expressed support for the draft, stating that its implementation could organize the health sector and deliver standard services. Dr. Mahmoud Sahal Parwani said such documents benefit people, society, and doctors, while facilitating treatment in provinces and reducing the need for travel to the capital.

Dr. Madkh Khan Daneshvar called the draft a positive and effective step toward standardizing health services and providing effective care nationwide.

The Ministry of Public Health has consistently emphasized efforts to deliver standard services, expand access, and build trust between citizens and the health sector.
